The Names Database sucks ass

What the fuck is this shit all about??? So there’s social networking type sites like Orkut, Friendster and Yahoo 360. Now there’s this Names Database bullshit. The others were fine. You could put in a little information as you wanted. With this site, you have to give it atleast 4 email addresses of other people before you can start using it without telling you why? If you want it completely unlocked, you have to give it a total of 24 email addresses. What sort of fucking email harvesting scam is this??? And if you don’t want to give it 24 email addresses (these have to be unique email addresses that no one email have invited before) you have to cough up $1.00 a month for a years membership. FUCK THAT SHIT! The Names Database can go and eat shit!

  1. As a marketer for tribe.net I can say it’s tough to find innovative ways to get new members…you want people to invite as many friends as possible without tiring them out and turning them away from your site. This being said…I agree…the database names idea doesn’t seem too wise.

In terms of social networking sites and open profiles (such as 360)a very similar product is the open profile at tribe.net, where you can import features outside of tribe. I’ve been asking people in the blogosphere to try it out because one of the featured modules is the weblog feature. You can also increase your blog traffic by importing external blogs into the profile. If anyone wants an invite let me know. sorry if this is an unwanted comment.

  2. I agree completely, IT REALLY SUCKS LIKE HELL. At first, I thought it was supposed to be a joke and that there was no database, just a prank link that totally refuses to let you proceed to some useful page. But then I realized that it was not the case and I must say I wrote back to the friend who forwarded that link to me advising him against sending me such ridiculous stuff again!

  3. this thing really suck!!! i felt so bad after i tried it, the money i spent was not worth it, don’t ever try this shit out, i got stripped of 12 fucking dollars without even getting my money’s worth. fuck these guys who did this thing, fuck them all, i hope they all go to hell. and they all die now.

  4. The names database deceivingly uploaded all of my address book and spammed those people with a request to sign up. There was NOTHING that said they were going to do that, what they said was “Check to see if anyone in your address book is in the Names database”. I want to sue them for deceiving practices and inablility to discontinue their annoying, invasive, unethical service.
